Chiropractic Mission Update & Sharing Exciting October Offers!

The Philippine Chiropractic Community Health Project (PCCHP) is making significant strides. We had 50 volunteers from seven countries servicing 3,500 patients and addressing various conditions in 10 communities. Despite a week of torrential rains that caused major flooding and the cancellation of work and school, nearly 600 people a day came to our community mission sites for chiropractic and rehabilitation care. On more than one occasion, we had to turn away 300 people in a single day; otherwise, we would have been unable to leave. The turnout demonstrates a tremendous need for our services. I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you. As the CSR project of Intercare aimed at providing equitable access to chiropractic care for all Filipinos, your invaluable support, trust, and referrals allow us to continue this important work.

Two mission sites were particularly special. One was in Smokey Mountain, where we served a community through Mithi, which offers children from the area a Montessori-based education and tutoring. The other was arranged by Secretary Herbosa of the Department of Health as part of his pilot project called the Bagong Urgent Care Ambulatory Surgical (BUCAS) center in Pampanga. We are currently working to pilot chiropractic care centers within this BUCAS framework in collaboration with the SOH.

For those of you following my social media, you may know that I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Chiropractic Pediatrics at Logan University in the USA. One of our volunteers, Dr. Annette Joergensen, a pediatric chiropractic expert from Denmark, and I attended chiropractic school together 31 years ago. We have reconnected to help children optimize their neurological development through chiropractic care. Dr. Joergensen will be returning to the Philippines as a visiting specialist at Intercare for our pediatric population, and her results have been nothing short of amazing.
